We are Michelle and Vaughneen, creatives behind Aai Aai Baby.

After COVID 19 devastated the world, both us ladies left the corporate world of teaching and the hotel industry. With new found spare time, Michelle, having a “Laat lammetjie”, realized there was a gap in the market when trying to find unique Baby room decor. What started out as a conversation between 2 mommies, became an entirely new adventure which we now proudly call Aai Aai Baby. Neither of us knew how much work starting a small business would be, but in the process have discovered how talented and blessed we actually are! Each and every item is handmade, from the smallest stitch, to the hand painted wood, cut sanded, designed and packaged by us ladies.

Through this journey, nothing would’ve been possible without our amazing husbands, that have had to endure countless questions of “how does this look”, and how do I measure this? Our awesome families have been there every step of the way, believing in our dream to create beautiful, unique and practical goodies for families to celebrate their new little blessings.

Isiah 30:18 says “God’s Plan Is Worth The Wait” and it’s so exciting to see His plan rolling out in our lives.
